Rescue a Family. Feed Someone Hungry

The war in Ukraine today has severely disrupted many people's ability to put food on the table. For those most vulnerable, especially those displaced by the war, food insecurity is a serious problem today.
Many within the country are displaced and unemployed. They cannot buy enough food. Others are trying to rebuild their lives in their original communities - even though their homes are rubble. They can barely survive.
Your gift will provide a package of urgently needed staple foods for someone who is displaced by the war, or who cannot put food on the table because of the economic tragedy resulting from the conflict.

Katya's Family
"My name is Katya. I live in Ukraine. Our home was destroyed early in the war when tanks were in our village. We barely got out in time.
We're back home, but there isn't much here.
I don't know how we will be able to feed our three children."

Katya's Story
Meet “Katya” (names protected for privacy). She and her children live in Moschun, Ukraine. Their village was occupied by Russian tanks and soldiers early in the war. She recounted to us the day her home was destroyed.
“We were all terrified. My husband wasn’t here when the tanks started coming towards our village. I didn’t know what to do. I waited for my husband. We barely got out in time when he returned. It was a harrowing escape because there are not a lot of roads out of our village.
Eventually we were told we could return. When we arrived home, our house was gone. It had burned to the ground. It took us 20 years to save enough money to build this house and now there is nothing left. We’re broken hearted. Survival is so hard these days. We have a lot of mouths to feed.”
Katya, her husband and their three children live in Moschun amongst the ruins of their previous home. Some of the family live in temporary shelters and other live in a backyard storage building that survived the bombing. Kayta cannot work because her young daughter has frequent seizures and needs full time care. There is no employment in this small village and they face daily worry for how they will survive.
